TERMS & CONDITIONS
We keep things straightforward. Train hard, respect the space and the people in it, and we'll take care of the rest. These terms exist to protect everyone — including you.

By becoming a member or participating in any class or program at ELEV8 MMA, you agree to the following terms. Please read them — they're not that long and they matter.
ELIGIBILITY
Membership is open to anyone aged 7 and over. Members under 18 require a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf.
1. MEMBERSHIP
ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
You agree to provide accurate, complete information when registering and to keep your details up to date — particularly emergency contact and health information.
OUR RIGHT TO REFUSE
ELEV8 MMA reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any membership at our discretion — particularly where behaviour is unsafe, disrespectful, or inconsistent with our values.
FORTNIGHTLY DIRECT DEBIT
Memberships are billed fortnightly via direct debit. By signing up, you authorise ELEV8 MMA to debit your nominated account on the agreed schedule.
2. PAYMENTS
FAILED PAYMENTS
If a payment fails, we'll attempt to contact you to resolve it. Continued failed payments may result in suspension of membership access until the outstanding balance is cleared.
REFUNDS
Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law. Unused classes do not carry over or attract refunds.
EQUIPMENT AND FACILITY
Members are responsible for treating shared equipment and the facility with respect. Damage caused by negligence or misuse may be charged to the responsible member.
3. CODE OF CONDUCT
RESPECT ON THE MATS
Martial arts training requires trust between training partners. Aggressive, reckless, or disrespectful behaviour on the mats will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal.
HYGIENE
Members must maintain appropriate personal hygiene. Clean training gear, trimmed nails, and no training while ill. This protects you and everyone around you.
LANGUAGE & BEHAVIOUR
ELEV8 MMA is a diverse, inclusive gym. Discriminatory, abusive, or threatening language — on or off the mats — is grounds for membership cancellation.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Martial arts training involves physical contact and inherent risk of injury. By participating, you acknowledge this risk and accept that ELEV8 MMA, its coaches, and its staff are not liable for injuries sustained during training where reasonable safety standards have been followed.
You agree to inform ELEV8 MMA of any medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations before training, and to seek medical clearance where appropriate. If in doubt, consult your doctor before starting.
4. HEALTH, SAFTEY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
FOLLOWING COACH INSTRUCTION
Our coaches set safety standards during every session. Failure to follow instructions — particularly during sparring and contact drills — may result in suspension from that class or from the gym.
SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING
ELEV8 MMA regularly photographs and films training sessions for use on social media and marketing materials. By becoming a member, you consent to your image being used in this way. If you'd prefer not to appear in content, please notify us in writing and we'll respect that request.
5. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
CANCELLATION TERMS
Membership cancellations are subject to our Cancellation Policy, available at elev8mma.com.au/cancellation-policy. A 14-day notice period applies to all cancellations and holds.
6. CANCELLATION
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Australian Consumer Law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
7. GOVERNING LAW
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated to members via email and posted on the website. Continued membership after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
